Hige helps Kiba escape from the government building.
Elsewhere, Tsume let’s Gehl join the gang on their planned raid.
Darcia learns that a wolf has entered Freeze City, awakening Cheza.
During the raid, when Gehl and Tsume are running away from the soldiers, Gehl falls and Tsume tries to save him. As he grabs Gehl’s shoulder, Gehl sees Tsume’s true form and screams. Tsume pulls back in shock and watches as Gehl falls to his death.
Meanwhile, Kiba tells Hige about Paradise and asks him to join him on his journey to find it, which he agrees to.
Toboe, a timid stray, gets some food from a girl named Leara, who he wants to meet again and befriend.
Back at their base, Tsume's Gang decides to split up because they are afraid of getting captured, and they no longer want to follow Tsume.
Later, Hubb examines Gehl's corpse in the morgue, and tries to figure out what bit him: a dog or a wolf?
Tsume and Toboe meet for the first time. Tsume saves Toboe from being shot by Quent Yaiden.
Lord Darcia III finds Cheza and takes her to his ship, where he is confronted by Kiba and Hige
