Sedo is a tall, lanky man with messy dark brown hair. He has a knobby-jaw along with a longer, rectangular face. He wears a pair of yellow-tinted goggles on his head and a brown jacket. Sedo also wears plain black, tight-fitting pants and a pair of brown shoes.
Role[]
As one of Tsume's gang members, Sedo helps carry out plans. After the death of Gehl, Sedo —along with other gang members— make known their dissatisfaction with Tsume's planned soon-to-be-heist. He later betrays Tsume by leading the police to him. With Tsume's knife to Sedo's throat, he confesses "They caught us when we tried to sneak on the train... We couldn't just let you get away scot-free." Tsume mutters, "You damn humans." and bounds away to the top of a broken wall, leaving Sedo stunned on the ground.

Chen is a bit of a shorter man. He wears a red, brimmed, bicycle helmet backwards on his head where the straps dangle freely. A pair of uni-lens goggles cover his eyes at all times. Chen also wears a black jacket with white fur under the collar. Under the jacket is a plain white t-shirt. He wears a pair a baggy jeans and charcoal-grey shoes.

Also a member of Tsume's gang, Chen's job is just the same as Sedo's: carry out the plans. He is often seen or paired with Sedo during jobs and labor-work.

Out grocery shopping with is daughter, the two were on the way home when Leara comes across a brown dog. Her dillydallying makes him call for her one more time before they leave.
The next day, after Toboe accidentally killed Leara's pet falcon, Toboe and comes across Leara and tries to apologize. Frightened, Leara calls for her father, who was farther away with his truck. He runs to her and finds her in an alleyway on the ground.

Granny appears as a small old lady. She has small eyes and very wrinkled, leathery skin. She has grey hair parted in the middle and tied into a low bun behind her head.
On her head, she wears a light-red bandana. Her attire is a loose-fitting white shirt and skirt. She also can be seen with an apron.
Like Toboe, she too wears bangle-bracelets.
Role[]
Though only present in flashbacks and memories, Granny was Toboe's caretaker earlier on in his life. She raised Toboe into the human-loving wolf that he is. But due to his excitement, he knocks her over and accidentally suffocates her with his own weight.
Her death is mirrored by Leara's pet falcon when he becomes over excited in an attempt to bring the falcon back to her; accidentally killing it in the process. He brings the falcon to Leara and says "I didn't mean to... I was just." showing Toboe's over-zealous good intentions can cause tragedy.

In his human disguise, Gramps appears as a slender old man. With scraggly, short, white hair on in his head, a mustache and beard, and long white eyebrows and ear hair. He is shown to have few teeth left and small, sunken-in eyes.
He appears to wear a cream-colored tunic and purple cardigan along with a blue scarf around his neck.
Wolf Form[]
As a wolf, the old man appears as a very shaggy, sandy-colored wolf. In his wolf-form, he retains the long ear-hair and eyebrows. He is shown to have pale-yellow eyes and a black nose.
Role[]
Gramps serves, at first, as a local-guide to Kiba; pointing out where "Paradise" is. He warns them that the tunnel is filled with toxic gas and that it'd be best not to enter.
In his old age, he is still a labor-worker. He is seen being whipped by depot workers when he keels over. Upon seeing him die in such poor conditions, Kiba becomes enraged and is about to leap into the depot. He is then tackled by Zali who stops him and tells him that they all are doomed to that same fate.
Gramps' sad state leading to his death was a trigger for Kiba as it falls in line with his strong wolf-pride.

When Cher's assistant first appears, only her face is visible. She has a rounded face and chin along with a rounded nose. She has brown shoulder-length hair.
The first outfit she is seen in is a white laboratory suit. The suite covers the entire body, including a white cap with padded ears. White gloves, boots, pants and jacket are worn by male and female lab-technicians alike.
The researcher herself wears a pair of glasses in and out of the lab.
Later when she meets Hubb, she is seen wearing a thick grey headband, a beige trench coat with brown lining and designs. A dark-turquoise sweater with a pointed white design in seen peering out from under the coat. She wears a pale-pink scarf around her neck. On her feet she wears a simple pair of grey-white heels and pantyhose. Sometimes she wears a pair of brown gloves as well.

Cher's assistant works as a lab-technician along side Cher as her assistant. Her exact job criteria is unknown.
She later acts as an informant for Hubb when he is seen in the city looking for Cher. Hubb and Cher's assistant are soon captured in an alleyway and interrogated.

The Hmong Tribe Elder is a short native man with long white hair. He has small, grey-grown eyes and bears red marks on his weathered face. He wears a red and yellow headbands adorned with two feathers on either side. His attire consists of a blue scarf or bandana around his neck, a long, beige leather jacket lined with fur; the cuffs and down the middle of the jacket bear a yellow, angular swirl design. A lighter beige tunic was worn under the jacket with four turquoise straps on the chest, holding the tunic closed. He wears grey-brown pants and beige moccasin boots. A medallion or totem can also be seen hanging from his neck as a large white circle.
Role[]
The Tribe Elder is responsible for passing down the stories of the Hmong people. He tells Hige, Tsume and Toboe the legend of the wolf:
- "Long ago, back when man was still an animal; there were evil monsters who ravished this world. Mother Earth opened the gates to Paradise and set the wolves upon the land. The wolves fought bravely against the evil, and vanquished the monsters. To the ignorant man-beasts that remained, they taught many things, and from their own bodies, the wolves created humanity. Iyek's horse is a common sandy-brown horse with a white stripe down the center of his face. He has brown eyes and a brown mane.
Iyek's horse has a leather saddle and reins as well as a red woollen blanket over the saddle.
Role[]
The horse is first seen when Iyek and a fellow tribesmen chased Toboe, Hige and Tsume through part of the desert.
The horse is later seen listening to Toboe talk about the old lady who used to care for him. The horse is also able to converse with Toboe, giving him a hardy laugh upon their departure.

In her human-form, the old female wolf appears as a thin old woman with long, wavy, gray hair. She wears a deep-read blouse, blue pants and a dark-green shaggy shawl. Her face appears gaunt and weathered.
True form[]
As a wolf, she is similar in appearance to Gramps. A slender, sandy-colored wolf with pale-yellow eyes.
Role[]
When Hubb is imprisoned, he meets the old female wolf; unaware of her true form. She informs Hubb of the cruelty that wolves have suffered at the hands of Lady Jaguara and her troops.
Later, when a pair of guards come to fetch her from her cell, Hubb sees for the first time the old woman's true form; giving him a first hand look at the culling of a once proud creature. Her death fosters Hubb's resolve to help the wolves escape and find Paradise, while also ridding his uncertainty about their existence.

Role[]
After Huss steals some food with his friends, soldiers take capture him. One of the soldiers—traumatized after his confrontation with Kiba's pack—beats him up, even sending him crashing into a wall after the Huss bites him. Blue, having witnessed the brutal beating, becomes enraged and growls at the soldiers, who try to shoot her, but she pushes them back and threatens them with her fangs, causing them to flee. Following that, she walks up to Huss and sniffs him;licking him gently on the cheek.
At the moment Quent arrives, hearing the gunshots, and witnesses the scene, which triggers a post-traumatic response in him where he has flashbacks oh his son's death with the wolves present, causing him to aim his gun at Blue and telling her to step back, which she does.
After Blue runs off, Quent takes care of Huss' injuries. Huss is roughly Russ' age, reminding Quent heavily of his late son. The old drunkard mends the boys wounds in Huss' hideout and attempts to give him advice. Bemused, the boy reveals he was orphaned in part by a deceased mother and absent father. Quent wishes him luck as he leaves the almost unappreciative boy.

The Indian Chief ("Indifferent Fire Man" by the official settei) is a tall, aboriginal man with a sharp face. His skin is a slightly darker tone with red marks on the sides of his face. He has long black-brown hair done in two braids. He has large, silver heart earnings and a weathered face. His attire consists of a headband with orange, yellow and black zigzag patterns. He wears a blue bandana around his neck and a thick, leather tunic and pants lined with beige fur. Around the cuffs of the tunic and pants are the same zigzag pattern found on his headband. He also wears thick leather gloves and moccasin boots. He is also seen carrying a bow and arrow in a traditionally designed quiver, as well as a satchel with similar designs.

When Kiba lost his pack to a fire, the Indian Chief was the one who found and took care of him. He raised Kiba until he was big enough to survive on his own. He told Kiba the story of Paradise and encouraged him to seek it.

As wolves, they appears to have the same colour, even as they grew older.
Role[]
They are rescued by Quent Yaiden who finds them together with their mother, surrounded by wolves. Unbeknownst to him, they are wolves, something he realized after rescuing them.
Their mother dies from injuries after carrying them away from their pack. Blue follows and tells them that they are on their own. They walk away, hand in hand and start their own journey.
They later appear in the last chapter, looking down at Tia and her friend. They appeared to be searching for the flower that their parents lost the day they died.
