The Grave That Looks Toward Heaven is the eighth chapter of Wolf's Rain manga.

Summary[]

The Book of the Moon is introduced as a forbidden book that only a selected few could see. But the stories written in it vanished 200 years ago and it’s now just a fairytale.

Cher comments how happy Cheza is near the wolves. She realizes that the fairytale about lunar flowers, and Paradise is true.

The wolves and Cheza walk away from the lake, fully aware of Cher’s presence.

Tsume’s distrust of Cheza, leads to an argument between him and Kiba. Cheza apologizes to him as they stop in front of a big cave. They walk inside and find withered lunar flowers. Cheza says that the flowers came to the cave when they knew they were going to wither and die; she then begins to sing for the wolves.

They are interrupted by Darcia who destroys the flowers inside the cave, making Cheza scream in agony. He asks what they will do with Cheza, and Kiba answer that they are taking her with them to find Paradise. As Darcia approaches them, Cher interrupts by shooting at him.

Kiba and Darcia begin to fight. Cher decides to let Cheza go with the wolves and helps them fight against Darcia.
